Not long ago, automotive companies based in the city of Texas, Green Automotive Company Corporation (GAC) announced that they have chosen Roush Industries to cooperate in developing electric SUV, Zotye.
The car is claimed to be the world's first electric SUV, the test to be eligible driver safety in America, the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
"Engineers from Roush have completed their task by testing the ability of Zotye at our facility in California. We continue to intensify to build a network of sales, up Zotye can be sold at the end of 2011, "explains Fred Luke, President of Green Automotive.
Zotye itself is a five-door SUV that looks a bit old fashioned. Seen from the use of light box, and a boxy body design.
Even so, Zotye has been armed with a DC motor-powered 36 horsepower, and equipped with lithium-ion 320V. Although small-powered, but the car weighs 1.1 tonnes is capable of driving up to 112 km / hour. In addition, in one charging, Zotye can be brought up to a distance of 241 km.
