Skoda Octavia Green E Line Concept Review

Skoda Octavia Green E Line Review

The Green E Line concept is based on the Skoda Octavia Combi. With its modular chassis design, this series-production car is the ideal option in terms of arranging the batteries, electronic control units and the electric engine with its constant power of 60 kW and max. power of 85 kW.

Electrical power draws Octavia Green E Line Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 26.5 kilowatt hours. Under the assumptions the average car should roll with the capacity to make 140 km per charge, which is intended to meet the requirements of most drivers in Europe who commute to work. The user, however, not to work too often go through the usual outlet because the battery recharge until at least 8 hours, the available voltage of 400 volts is then reduced charging time in half. Curiously, the charging socket is located under “prostrelenou chicken”, a car logo on the grille.

The battery consists of 180 individual lithium ion cells with a diameter of 150 mm and length 650 mm, weight of the reservoir of energy is then about 315 kilograms. The battery pack is located under the center and rear floor and partly in the luggage compartment. Instead of the crew and luggage space but the presence of an electric power almost limited. For passengers, there are five fully fledged seats and the cockpit is completely identical to that offered by standard Octavia combustion engine. While the luggage space of 115 liters less, but the remaining 490 liters is still more than you could meaningfully be used regularly.
