EX1 Peugeot concept car managed to break the lap record at Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit for an electric car.
The car was driven by the Stephane Caillet, drivers and technicians at the Center for Research and Development across the Peugeot with the circuit 13 miles (21 km) in nine minutes, 1338 seconds.
This is equivalent to an average speed of 86mph and almost beat the previous record in 2010 by the MINI E with a time of 9:51:45.
EX1 is a two-seat roadster pair powered electric motors (one for each AS) produces 340bhp and four-wheel drive. including lithium battery weighs only 750 kg 30kwh thanks to carbon fiber construction.
EX1 is recorded as an electric car accelerates the fastest in the world, covering a quarter mile in 12.67 seconds and ran from 0-62mph in 3:49 seconds.
Peugeot car was made years ago as a gift anniversary-200 them. EX1 has a top speed of 161 mph. Peugeot is planning to mass produce the vehicle.
